In the event of a tie for the Grand or First Prize winner in any age group, the head judge will select the winning entry based on the criteria specified.
In the event of a tie, where two or more entries get the same score for creativity, the entry scored higher on creativity by the head judge is the winner.

Eric Suesz is the online community manager for Autodesk’s Pixlr® photo editing app. An amateur photographer who never plans to go pro, Eric began in a black-and-white darkroom but happily threw away all of his darkroom chemicals when the first iPhone was released.
He digs deep into the Internet to uncover and showcase the best photos created and edited with Pixlr apps. He smiles widest when people find new ways to use the tiny computer with a tiny camera that they carry around with them every day—their smartphone—to create art that's worthy of being hung on a wall.

Kevin McCarty is a Los Angeles–based educator and artist. He holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati (2001) and an MFA in photography and media from the California Institute of the Arts (2003).
McCarty has taught and lectured at Brooks College, California State University Fullerton, University of California at Irvine, California Design College, New York University, and the Director’s Guild of America. He was also the academic director of digital photography at the Art Institute of California–Hollywood.
McCarty’s artistic work deals mainly with the representation of subcultures and marginal communities through a mixture of visual modes, including documentary photography, staged portraiture, and collage. His work has been exhibited at many galleries locally, including the Armory Center for the Arts and the LA Freewaves Festival in Los Angeles, as well as nationally, where his work has been shown at the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, with solo exhibitions at Artist Space in New York and the Richard E. Peeler Art Center at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where his work is part of the permanent collection.

Henry Lien is the owner/director of the Glass Garage Gallery in Los Angeles. He represents artists from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. His artists have appeared in ARTnews, Art in America, Juxtapoz, the Huffington Post, and Time magazine, and been collected by and exhibited in institutions and museums around the world.
Mr. Lien has served as the president of the West Hollywood Fine Art Dealers’ Association and a board member of the West Hollywood Avenues of Art and Design. Mr. Lien also has extensive experience as an attorney and teaches at UCLA Extension.

Fong-Chi Lien is an engineer by training and worked for over 30 years for the Associated Press designing communications systems for photojournalists and writers.
He currently serves as the vice president of the Taiwanese-American Photographic Association and teaches courses on digital photography. He also collaborates with his son Henry Lien on digital photography projects for the Glass Garage Gallery’s graphic design materials.
